A temporary exhibition hosted by L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts places a spotlight on the creations and career of talented jeweller and artist, Jean Vendome. The exhibition celebrates his pioneering designs; where simplicity meets sophistication, strength meets delicacy and a touch of eccentricity links all of his pieces. The exhibition showcases 131 jewellery pieces, some lent from private collections, including Aléna Caillois’ necklace, others from public collections at institutions including the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
Visitors can retrace his innovative exploration of shapes and avant-garde approach. See how his creations evolve from decade to decade, inspired by the major artistic movements of the second half of the 20th century. In the 1970s, he adapted his pieces for modern women, and played with forms inspired by space exploration and urban development. The 1980s he explored the notion of eternity with quartz and agate. The 1990s were a time of bold expression with wild colours. Specialised guided tours give visitors the chance to dive deeper into his universe.More information
