The V Exhibition·Contemporary Goldsmithery, presents from its origins, an open platform with important national and international representation, seeking to promote contemporary goldsmithing. Ornamental and personal objects have been part of cultures as an essential element of the symbolic language of society since the origin of humanity. The exhibition, organised by the Asociación de Diseñadores de Orfebrería y Joyería contemporáneas (AdOC) and the Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas (MNAD), shows in its exhibition rooms, original and unpublished pieces and drawings, supporting a new market little explored so far.
The V Contemporary Goldsmithery Exhibition incorporates a thematic venue at the Museo de Historia de Madrid with the exhibition Goldsmiths in Madrid, as well as four venues that make up a tour of the city with small individual exhibitions that surprise the visitor. Four institutions at unique buildings converted into museums: Museo Lázaro Galdiano, Casa Museo Lope de Vega, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid and Museo de San Isidro, are protagonists of an itinerary through Madrid. A circuit of goldsmiths’ ateliers in Madrid will complete this tour.
