First established over 25 years ago, the International Heritage Fair (Salon International Patrimoine Culturel) is considered to be the most important heritage fair in Europe. Since 2009 it has been organised by Ateliers d’Art France and takes place annually for a four day period at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. The event attracts more than 350 French and international exhibitors linked to heritage professions, from preservation organisations and institutions to master craft workers.
From stonemasons, cabinetmakers, goldsmiths to furniture restorers and metalworkers, all the exhibitors are united by their dedication to protecting tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Visitors have the unique chance to meet a great diversity of skilled heritage professionals, learn of heritage conservation in on-site film screenings, conferences and round tables. Every year, the fair adopts a new theme. The fair is open from 10am to 6pm on Thursday and Sunday, on Friday and Saturday it is open until 7pm. A one day ticket costs 11 euros per adult and 5 euros for concessions, the price for a four day ticket is 14 euros for adults and 8 euros for concessions.
