Mineral poetry

  • • Thierry explores the functions of a jewel
  • • His work reveals a committed dimension
  • • He emphasises the raw aesthetics of minerals

Based in the heart of Paris, jewellery maker Thierry Vendome creates unique contemporary pieces, revealing the aesthetic power of the materials. From his traditional knowledge, he masters raw and unusual materials, such as rust, which has become one of his signature products. Thierry learned the essence of the craft alongside his father, the artist-jeweller Jean Vendome, who is considered a pioneer of contemporary jewellery. Through his expertise, Thierry likes to break the order, to question the asymmetry, to cross materials, periods and genres. Initiating new dialogues. His creations also sometimes resonate with current topics that arouse his interest.

Ecume

This pendant that can be transformed into a brooch symbolizes a flight of foam composed of white baroque pearls on a golden sandy beach. Gold material is made from micro grains of gold with Thierry’s own technique called gold-sand.

Branch

Yellow gold ring with a contemporary design. It was inspired by botanical structures and materials. It plays with matt and polished surfaces and creates a raw contrast with the electric blue of an indigolite tourmaline from Brazil.
